BERGEN AAN ZEE

Every time I cross the dunes at Bergen aan Zee and walk down onto the beach, it strikes me all over again: the vastness. That sense of boundlessness takes hold of me the moment I step into this immense space. Before me lies a 180-degree horizon stretching into infinity – literally and figuratively, just as we say in Dutch: ‘A sea of space’.
